The AI stack built for DTC founders.

Shopify ops, paid ads, inventory, and customer support — without hiring a team for each one.

DTC brand founders live inside Shopify, Meta Ads Manager, Klaviyo, and a Google Sheet that nobody fully understands. You're watching CAC creep, trying to forecast inventory without stocking out on the one SKU that moves, responding to refund requests between customer calls, and sketching a quarterly board update at midnight. Every tool costs more than it should and none of them know about the others — your ad spend doesn't talk to your inventory, your returns don't flow back into your demand plan, and your reorder math lives in somebody's head. Starch replaces the patchwork. Your Shopify orders, ad platform spend, and bank transactions land in one place; your inventory forecast, customer support triage, and investor update all pull from the same data. You stop rebuilding the same dashboard in a new tool every six months.

Workflows we cover for DTC Brand Founders

Does Starch replace Shopify or just work with it?
Starch works with Shopify — it connects via the integration browser and pulls orders, products, customers, and inventory levels into apps like Retail Analytics, Inventory Planner, and Growth Analyst. You keep running your storefront on Shopify; Starch handles the analysis, forecasting, and cross-channel reconciliation that Shopify alone doesn't cover.
Can Starch manage my Meta and Google Ads?
The Ads Agent app connects to Facebook Ads, Google Ads, and LinkedIn Ads through the integration browser. You can pull spend, CAC, and ROAS by campaign into one view, run natural-language analyses ('which creative is burning budget?'), and automate repetitive pauses and budget reallocations. You still place the creative calls yourself.
How does inventory forecasting actually work for DTC?
Demand Planner pulls sales history from Shopify and Amazon, blends in seasonality and promo calendars you configure, and produces SKU-level forecasts you can override. Inventory Planner turns the forecast into reorder quantities and flags stockout risk based on supplier lead times you enter. Both are starter apps — you can customize them or describe a different forecasting method and Starch will build it.
What about customer support and refunds?
Connect Gmail or your help desk (Intercom, Zendesk, Help Scout are all reachable via the integration browser) and Starch can triage, draft responses pulling from your order data, and route escalations. Refund logic ties back to your Shopify order history so the agent sees what the customer actually bought and when.
How is this different from a Shopify app like Triple Whale?
Triple Whale is a great analytics layer if you only need DTC attribution. Starch is broader — analytics, plus inventory, plus customer support, plus financials, plus the ability to describe any custom app and have it built. For single-purpose analytics, Triple Whale wins. For a small team that needs most of their stack in one place, Starch fits better.
Can I get LP or board updates out of this?
Yes. Investor Reporting pulls live revenue from Stripe and Shopify, bank data from Plaid, and combines it with a narrative template you customize. Most DTC founders run it monthly for investor updates and quarterly for full board decks. The platform is free to use during beta; individual apps will have monthly subscriptions once pricing is finalized.
