For most small agencies, it can — but it's not a drop-in clone. HoneyBook and Dubsado are opinionated CRMs with built-in proposal and contract flows. Starch's CRM is flexible: you describe your intake, proposal, and billing process and the agent builds it. If your current tool works fine, Starch can sit alongside via the integration browser and pull data into custom dashboards. Aisle Planner's wedding-specific timeline view isn't replicated out of the box, but is buildable.
How does lead intake and response work?
Your contact form or Instagram DM drops a lead into the CRM. The Email Agent drafts a first-response email in your voice — pulling the inquiry details, mentioning the date availability check, attaching your starter pricing deck via the Presentation Agent. You approve and send. Starch schedules the follow-up discovery call from your Calendly or Google Calendar. Nothing sits in your inbox for three days.
Can I build custom client timelines and day-of run sheets?
Yes — this is exactly the kind of custom surface Starch is built for. Describe what your day-of sheet needs (vendor arrival times, load-in notes, ceremony order, point-of-contact per vendor) and Starch builds a template tied to the event record. Updates in one place flow to the version you share with clients and vendors. The Project Management app handles task dependencies across the planning timeline.
What about vendor coordination?
Vendor email threads auto-attach to the event record via Gmail or Outlook. The Customer Support Agent can chase outstanding quotes or COIs on a cadence — 'if vendor hasn't replied to the COI request in 5 days, send the polite follow-up and flag it in my Monday morning digest.' Contract Lifecycle Management handles vendor agreements and deposits owed.
Can Starch handle invoicing and deposits?
Starch doesn't replace Stripe or QuickBooks — it connects to them. Stripe is a Tier 1 connection with scheduled sync; QuickBooks Online too. You can build automations like 'when the 50% retainer clears Stripe, move the event from proposed to booked in the CRM and unlock the planning timeline' — but the payment itself still runs through your payment processor.
Is this realistic for a solo planner or a two-person shop?
