The AI stack built for local service businesses.

Scheduling, dispatch, quoting, customer follow-up, and review chasing — without adding office staff.

Running a plumbing, HVAC, electrical, landscaping, or cleaning outfit with 1-20 field staff means you're in the truck half the day and on the phone the other half. You're dispatching crews, writing quotes from the parking lot, chasing down Jobber invoices that are 45 days out, copy-pasting Google Voice messages into a spreadsheet, trying to remember which customers you promised a callback, and begging happy customers to leave a review on Google. Field service tools like Jobber, Housecall Pro, and ServiceTitan handle the work-order basics, but they're rigid — the moment you want a custom quote template, a seasonal follow-up sequence, or a dashboard that tells you which job types actually make money, you're back in a spreadsheet. Starch doesn't replace your field service platform. It sits on top of whatever you use (via browser automation, since most of these tools have thin APIs) and glues together the quoting, follow-up, review generation, and cash-flow work that currently lives in your head.

Workflows we cover for Local Service Business Founders

Does Starch replace Jobber, Housecall Pro, or ServiceTitan?
No. Those tools handle work orders, dispatch, and invoicing — keep them. Starch connects on top (via browser automation for platforms with thin or closed APIs) and builds the surfaces around them: quote follow-up sequences, job-profitability dashboards, review-request automations, and the CRM-style customer history your field service tool doesn't really give you.
Are there pre-built apps for service businesses?
Not a dedicated service-business pack yet. The CRM, Scheduling, Task Manager, and Email Agent starter apps cover the basics. For industry-specific workflows — like 'text every customer whose HVAC was installed 11 months ago to schedule maintenance' — you describe the automation in plain English and Starch builds it. That natural-language authoring is the point.
Can Starch help chase down unpaid invoices?
Yes. You connect Plaid (for cash in) and either QuickBooks or your field service platform's invoice list (via browser automation if needed). Starch reads aging invoices, drafts polite follow-up texts or emails from your sending account, escalates at 30/45/60 days, and pings you in Slack or text when a payment lands. It's the collections admin you never hired.
How does this help with Google reviews?
You describe the trigger ('every completed job over $500 where the customer rated us well') and Starch sends a review request text with your Google review link at the right time — usually 2-4 hours after the job closes, when satisfaction is highest. It tracks who you've asked, doesn't re-ask, and can draft replies to reviews that come in.
What about quoting and estimates?
Starch doesn't replace your estimating tool, but it can automate the follow-up. Quote sent Tuesday, no response by Friday — Starch drafts a check-in email referencing the specific scope. It can also summarize historical close rates by quote size, service type, or lead source so you know which quotes are worth pushing on.
Is this secure enough to handle customer data?
All data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and connections use OAuth where available. Honest note: Starch is not SOC 2 Type II certified yet, and there's no on-prem option. For most owner-operators handling standard customer contact info and job data, the security posture is appropriate. If you handle sensitive data (medical facilities, government contracts), flag that during beta signup.
